About the Professional Automotive Training - "PAT" project

Project offers possible solution to the problem of the lack of innovative teaching materials for vocational subjects of Car repair, Service and retail related proffesions, by transfer of innovative educational tools used in the UK and CZ, their localization, re-adjustment and additional development for the needs of specific vocational subjects of Car mechanic, Car body builder and Car painter professions: Auto Servicing and Diagnostics, Plumbing Technology and Lacquer Technology. Project will be implemented by consortium consisting of  6 educational institutions, who already cooperated before on LdV ToI project „Volant“: Secondary Vocational Automotive School of Jana Jonasa Bratislava (SOSA SK) - project contractor, responsible for project management. ATT Training providing 300 learning screens developed in UK. Centre for Modern Education CZ (CFME CZ) will provide online tools for development of interactive exercises. CFME SK will ensure localization of technologies transferred from CZ and UK and upload of the content developed by SOSA SK into online modules.  State Institute of Vocational Education (SIOV SK) will coordinate dissemination process among other potential users – VET schools in SK. Stredni odborni skola automobilni Holice (SSA HOLICE CZ) will provide the feedback on developed materials, test them and ensure dissemination process among schools in CZ. Project will target 500 students and teachers from 2 VET schools in Car repair, service and retail related professions in Slovak and Czech republic. The other 20 000 potential beneficiaries are employment offices providing re-qualifications, educational and training institutions concerned on Car related professions, employees of automotive industry enterprises  and other vocational public in SK and abroad. Project will also support the increase of cooperation between various institutions providing learning opportunities (VET schools, public VET institution and SMEs). We believe that using the ICT based teaching and learning methodology will contribute to the increase of quality of VET system in Slovakia.
